Follow Me is a game of mental math. One person reads the card aloud by saying "Start at ____" and continues to read each step until the line "What do you get?" at which point the payers(s) says the answer aloud. Players should be able to complete the entire sequence mentally for their age level - only giving the answer at the end (no paper & pencil). We recommend moving to a lower level if your child struggles with the operations on 3 consecutive cards. Ways to modify the game:
Change your speed when reading the card to increase of decrease the challenge.
When there are multiple players:
Have each player give a "thumbs us" when s/he is ready for the reader to move on to the next card.
Have players write their answers and hand them to the reader.
Pass out cards to each player until all cards are distributed and have each player read a card aloud. The first player to answer gets to keep the cards. The player with the most cards at the end wins.
